Terms & Conditions
Last updated 24 June 2026. Working draft pending external legal review — please email hello@starholidaysclub.com with anything that looks wrong.
1. Who we are
Star Holidays Club is operated by Star Software Systems Ltd, a company registered in England. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Star Holidays Club” refer to that company; “you” means the person using the site or holding a membership account.
2. What this site is — and isn’t
Star Holidays Club is an independent price-comparison and watchlist tool for four- and five-star hotel holidays. We surface live hotel rates from third-party suppliers (currently LiteAPI) alongside live UK flight prices (currently Duffel) to give you an independent hotel + flight total. We do not fetch or track tour operator package prices — you visit the major UK tour operators (TUI, Jet2, Thomas Cook or another) yourself to find their package price and compare it against the total we show.
We are not a tour operator, travel agent or ATOL holder. We do not book, sell or take payment for holidays. When you choose to book, you transact directly with the operator or supplier whose offer you select; their terms, ATOL/ABTA cover and refund rules apply, not ours.
3. Prices and availability
Prices and availability shown are passed through from third-party APIs at the moment you load the page. They can change between your search and your booking, and they sometimes differ from the operator’s own site for technical reasons (a cache lag, a different room type, a fare class no longer offered). We make a best-effort to keep what you see accurate but cannot guarantee it; always confirm the headline figures with the operator at the point of booking.
We never add a mark-up, commission inflation or hidden fee to any price displayed. If we earn a referral fee from a third party, it does not change the price you pay.
4. Membership
Membership is free to join with an email and password. Once you’re in, the in-product concierge captures who you travel with, what you like, and the trips you’re considering. We use that to build your personal watchlist and to send you the weekly updates described in the Privacy Policy.
You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account by emailing hello@starholidaysclub.com (we’ll add a one-click in-app delete shortly — until then, the email route is honoured the same day).
5. Acceptable use
Use the site for personal, non-commercial research only. Don’t scrape it, don’t resell the data, don’t try to game the watchlist (e.g. seeding thousands of fake watches), and don’t use a membership account on behalf of a competing comparison product. We can suspend an account that does any of those.
6. Intellectual property
The site’s design, copy, software and editorial content (the country pages, the “Sunday show” recordings, the watchlist methodology) belong to us. Hotel photos and descriptions are licensed from the third-party suppliers and remain theirs. You’re welcome to share a link or a screenshot; you’re not welcome to republish whole pages.
7. Liability
Nothing here limits any liability we can’t lawfully limit (death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, anything mandatory under UK consumer law). For everything else, because we don’t take your booking money, the maximum we’d ever owe you is capped at £100, and only in the unlikely case that information we displayed was materially and recklessly wrong. If a hotel disappoints you, the supplier’s remedy is the right one; we’ll help where we can but we’re not party to the booking.
8. Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the product changes — we’ll bump the “Last updated” date at the top, and if the change is material (e.g. we start taking commission on bookings), members will get a heads-up email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute that can’t be settled by an email exchange goes to the courts of England and Wales.
10. Contact
